The Broken Arrow Fire Department tackled a serious house fire Saturday on the city’s south side.
B-shift crews from Station 3, along with stations 2 and 7, and Rescue 1 responded to the blaze near Elm Place and 131st Street at 2:46 p.m..
Firefighters encountered heavy fire in the home’s garage extending into the house, work shed and a vehicle, according to the department’s Facebook post.
Crews were able to get a quick knockdown of the fire with a 2.5-inch hose line. All occupants were accounted for and uninjured. Firefighters were on scene for about 3.5 hours.
