TULSA — The Tulsa Police Department is investigating after a man was found shot in his vehicle on the city’s east side near the Lynn Lane Reservoir.
Police said at 6 a.m. Monday, 911 dispatchers received a call from a person who was mumbling but could not respond to dispatch questions. Police said the man had been shot in the head.
EMSA dispatch said the call was pinging to a dirt road just west of 193rd East Avenue, just north of E. 31st Street South.
Police said that while dispatchers were speaking with the caller they could hear a car horn honking and that the caller was speaking to another unknown male.
EMSA found the bullet-riddled car near 2700 S. 193rd Ave., along with the victim and his brother, who wasn’t with the victim when he was shot. Police said he heard the honking and came out to find his brother had been shot.

Tulsa Police Department photos from the scene on Monday.
According to Fox23 News, it was dark at the time and there were no cameras or lighting, “so the business that he was coming to go to work at is a long narrow driveway going back to the business,” said Tim Means with TPD.
Police said the man was transported to a hospital in “very serious” condition. The suspect or suspects are at large and no further updates have been shared by police since this morning.
Anyone with information that can help police with this case should contact Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
