The Broken Arrow Police Department is releasing relevant video footage from officer Caleb Sherman’s body camera. See the video below.
The video depicts Cory Gene Batt shooting at Sherman and Sherman returning fire. Once backing officers arrive, Sherman is medically treated.
Batt was later found deceased of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police note that one of the shots fired by Batt struck an occupied house north of the incident, as well as his own vehicle.
The last outstanding person in connection to this case, Jason Wade Maple, has been located and arrested for outstanding warrants issued through Wagoner County District Court and Rogers County District Court.
