The public will get its first glimpse at the formal site plan for the Sunset Amphitheater when the developer goes before the Broken Arrow Planning Commission Thursday to request approval.
The developer, Colorado Springs-based Notes Live, will present the final plat and project design, as well the traffic impact study and noise assessment results.
The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the site studies and may decide to approve the submitted plans or send the project back for revisions.
The Planning Commission meets at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at City Hall, 220 S. First St.

The City Council has already approved a tax increment financing (TIF) district to help pay for $28 million in infrastructure improvements needed for the proposed amphitheater. The $71.5 million project would be located immediately north of the Broken Arrow Events Park and east of the Creek Turnpike.
Many residents in the area have voiced concerns about traffic, noise and potential increased crime. But the city and Notes Live have released plans they believe will address those challenges.
