Broken Arrow Public Schools is launching a new educational series aimed at helping parents enhance their parenting skills and foster better relationships with their children.
To kick off Parent University, the district is hosting a free Parent Night on Jan. 18, where we explore the theme Remixing your Parenting Playlist.
The session will focus on helping families “get into the groove with their kids and providing practical strategies for various parenting scenarios.”
The event is slated for Jan. 18 from to 6-8 p.m. at Central on Main, 210 N. Main St. Broken Arrow.
During this interactive session, “families will learn valuable techniques for turning down the volume when things get too loud, understanding and meeting a child’s needs and celebrating your child’s achievements,” the district says.
Cookies and cocoa will be provided thanks to the Broken Arrow PTA Council, along with exciting prizes for some lucky attendees.
BAPS says the event “promises to be a collaborative experience, allowing families connect with other families and share insights on navigating the journey of parenthood.”
Interested parents should RSVP as space is limited
