Broken Arrow’s Brad Farrell, Union’s Kirk Fridrich and Wagoner’s Dale Condict were among the coaches and athletic officials named to the 2024 class of the Oklahoma Coaches Association Hall of Fame on Monday.
The induction ceremony and banquet will be held at the Southern Hills Marriott Hotel on July 20.
Fridrich has coached the Union RedHawks football program to five state titles and has over 30 years as a coach.
Condict has led the Bulldogs football team to six Class 4A state championships since 2011.
Farrow was suspended from all coaching duties in the Broken Arrow district for the 2013-14 school year after the district self-reported rule violations concerning an ineligible player who participated in football and track games. A number of other personnel were affected.
But Farrow was reinstated in full in 2014 by the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association Board of Directors.
This year, the inductees fall into all three of the OCA’s Hall of Fame categories. Coaches Hall of Fame Inductees are individuals in the High School coaching profession that have fifteen (15) years as a head coach, or 25 total years as a head coach, head junior high coach, or assistant high school coach in Oklahoma.
Distinguished Service inductees are those persons in the coaching profession that have made a direct contribution to athletics in Oklahoma, but do not have the required number of high school years’ service; or those officials, athletic trainers, players, or others that have made a direct contribution to the growth and well-being of the Oklahoma Coaches Association.
Special Service inductees are individuals outside the coaching profession that have made a direct contribution to athletics in Oklahoma, such as a sports aficionado or sports journalists.
