Xavier Babudar, the man dubbed in the media as the ‘ChiefsAholic’ was sentenced to major prison time for a bank robbery in Bixby 2 years ago.
Babudar, 30, was sentenced to 32 years in prison following his conviction for bank robbery. Bixby Police Chief Todd Blish thanked his officers, they FBI and Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office.
Blish said the Dec. 16, 2022 armed robbery “terrorized our community.”
“Today’s sentence reflects the gravity of this violent crime and sends a clear message that those who endanger our community through armed robbery, force or fear will be held fully accountable,” Blish said in a statement.
Babudar pled guilty in March to robbing a Bixby bank teller with a firearm in 2022 and to cutting off his ankle monitor while out on bond and going on the run for months.
Babudar will serve this sentence in prison, concurrent with 17-1/2 years of his federal sentence for charges related to robbing 11 banks in 7 states and stealing more than $800,000.
