Ward 4 City Council member Lauren Givan will be resigning from her position effective Nov. 3 due to her family moving outside the city’s municipal boundaries.
City Manager Julie Casteen said Givan has been a dedicated member of the City Council, “and while we’re saddened by her resignation we are grateful for the work she has done to build a better future for our city and taxpayers.”
Applications to fill the unexpired term for the Ward 4 seat will be opened soon. Applicants must be a resident of Ward 4 to apply. Those interested can visit the city’s Facebook page and website for updates as they become available.
