Union Public Schools Area Employment Fair
The Union Career Connect program will host a free employment fair at the UMAC, 6836 S. Mingo Road, on Thursday, April 14. About 50 vendors are expected to participate.
The employment fair will run from 2 to 7 p.m. at the UMAC, 6836 S. Mingo Road. The first two and a half hours, from 2 to 4:30 p.m., will be reserved specifically for Union High School students, and then from 4:30 to 7 p.m., the event will be open to the general public. Food trucks will also be on site, starting around 4 p.m. This event will be free to attend.
The Union Career Connect Program is responsible for connecting students with their career interest while in high school. “We decided to take it one step further and not only connect our students with possible careers, but our Union community as well,” said James Douthat, High School career advisor.
Businesses planning to participate include Tulsa Police Department, EMSA, City of Broken Arrow, YMCA of Greater Tulsa, OSU Medical Center, Aspen Health, Cox LTC, St. Francis Hospital, XL Solutions, Amazon, Tulsa Ports (Port of Catoosa), Melton Truck Lines, OK State University, CAP Tulsa, Job Corps., Tulsa City Zoo, Goodwill Industries, Northeastern State University, Keller Williams Realty, What-A-Burger, QuikTrip, SSA Group, Chuck-E-Cheese, Rocket Brothers, Mazzios, Royal Velvet , TTCU Federal Credit Union, Action Group, Hilton Hotels, Crossland Construction, Mill Creek Lumber, Webco, AEP, ML Jones, Kenco, One Gas, AAON, McElroy, U.S. Army, US Navy, and Union Public Schools.
