Firefighters from Broken Arrow and Coweta responded to a house fire Thursday afternoon that damaged the structure but caused no injuries.
The departments were called to a house near East 101st Street and 215th East Avenue at about 3:30 p.m. BAFD Engine 3 arrived on scene first and witnessed smoke coming from the roof line.
Firefighters quickly established fire attack and searched the residence, said Broken Arrow Fire Departmrnt PIO Jarrett Hardwick.
After completing the search, firefighters found no one inside, but did rescue a pet turtle that was unharmed.
The fire was limited to a bedroom and crews worked quickly to extinguish flames. They cleared the scene in about 1.5 hours.
