As construction gets into full swing with the Sunset Amphitheater in Broken Arrow, parent company Venu unveiled its latest renderings for the entertainment facility.
The designs reflect changes made to the Sunset Amphitheater to enable year round events at the facility.
Company officials say the newly released amphitheater design will feature advanced engineering solutions, “that solve the traditional limitations of outdoor venues.”
The Broken Arrow amphitheater, as well as Venu’s 20,000-seat facility in McKinney, Texas, will incorporate wind wall technology, integrated radiant heating systems and protective canopied roof structures.
“We set out to create more than amphitheaters—these venues redefine the very meaning of premium in live music,” said Jeff Crocker, owner and project lead at BCA Studios Architects. “Every detail, from the structural engineering to the guest amenities, is being considered through the lens of fan experience.”
J.W. Roth, founder and CEO Chief of Venu Holding Corp. said the renderings, “illustrate a pivotal moment for the future of outdoor entertainment.
“The multi-season capabilities of these venues are absolute game-changers, allowing us to deliver world-class live music 365 days a year while striving to ensure every guest enjoys optimal comfort and protection from the elements.”
The “wind walls” at the amphitheater are designed to reduce harsh winds while controlling temperature and containing sound within the venue. Dynamic lighting and video will help the walls transcend their practical purpose, becoming part of the performance and carrying the energy of the stage into the architecture itself, Crocker said.
The canopied roof Structure will provide protection from rain and harsh weather while preserving the open-air concert atmosphere. Integrated heating elements provide consistent warmth during colder months, ensuring comfort and usability year-round, the company said.
The amphitheaters’s design includes adaptive staging to allow venues to transition between full-capacity major productions and more “intimate” events.
The Sunset Amphitheater in Broken Arrow is also scheduled to open next year 2026 within the Broken Arrow Events Park. The amphitheater will include 238 “Luxe FireSuites” and the members-only Aikman Club will offer 175 lifetime memberships.
The company said upper and lower bowl seating and a general admission lawn area will provide “diverse options for every type of concertgoer..”
Both venues are being developed in partnership with industry leaders including Troy Aikman and his EIGHT Elite Light Beer, and Aramark Sports + Entertainment.
