We’ve officially reached the midway point of summer here at Northeastern State University. June was an incredibly busy month and we are full steam ahead into July as we prepare for students to return for the fall semester.
Summer is a busy time for all but it’s never the wrong time to start thinking about your future endeavors. In today’s rapidly evolving job market, the demand for highly skilled professionals has never been greater.

NSU is powering Oklahoma’s critical occupations with 40+ majors that directly bolster the state’s workforce by preparing students with the background necessary to succeed. NSU is expanding one of those critical-occupation majors, Mechanical Engineering, to the Broken Arrow campus. We are excited to officially begin offering this degree here and look forward to seeing the success of not only the program but student success as well. If you are headed to Tahlequah for a summer fun, don’t forget to purchase tickets for this season’s River City Players shows. The River City Players have been hard at work this with country and rock ‘n’ roll performances still available through July and the beginning of August.

Summer courses are still underway with 4- and 8-week courses beginning soon. There is still time to enroll in summer courses to take that next step toward your bachelor’s or master’s degree or certificate.
