TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — Northeastern State University hosted over 800 students for Oklahoma Research Day on March 7, where students from nearly 20 Oklahoma institutions gathered to present their innovative research and findings.
This year’s theme is “Bringing Tradition & Innovation,” and was held on the NSU Tahlequah campus.
Oklahoma Research Day is a statewide conference that has occurred each spring for the last 25 years. The event celebrates student and faculty research, while bringing students from all backgrounds and educational interests together.
Attendees were welcomed by NSU representatives, Regional University System of Oklahoma regent, Connie Reilly and Corey Bunch, Cherokee Nation Chief of Staff. Grand Prize Winner of the first-ever Google Global Science Fair, Dr. Shree Bose was the keynote speaker for the afternoon and answered questions from the crowd.
After the opening remarks, attendees were excused to the NSU Jack Dobbins Field House to begin setting up their research findings and engaged in discussion with fellow researchers.
In 2026, NSU will remain the host site for ORD. For more information about ORD, visit oklahomaresearchday.com.
