The U.S. executed a precision strike Saturday on three nuclear facilities inside Iran after months of tensions and failed negotiations.
The U.S. used six bunker buster bombs — each of which weighs 15 tons — in its strikes on Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility, Sean Hannity said citing information provided from President Trump. The bombs were dropped from American B-2 stealth bombers.
Fordow had two entrances and one ventilation shaft, which likely served as the entrance points for the Massive Ordnance Penetrators (MOPs).
Additionally, 30 Tomahawk missiles launched from U.S. submarines were used in the attacks on the Nanatz and Isfahan facilities.
President Trump confirmed the operation Saturday in a very brief address to the nation, saying the U.S. military was the only one in the world that could have pulled off this mission.
“Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated, “Trump said. “Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace. If they do not, future attacks would be far greater and a lot easier.”
Meanwhile, Oklahoma elected officials shared their views of the action taken by Trump.
“President Trump showed peace through strength and our world is safer for it. This bold action to ensure Iran never has a nuclear weapon will help secure this region,” said Gov. Kevin Stitt. “God bless our brave service members who risked their lives to ensure peace today.”
“President Trump is exactly the leader we need in the Oval Office,” said U.S. Rep. Kevin Hern (R-D1) on X.
“Our Commander-in-Chief puts Americans’ safety first and is a champion for peace through strength. Thank you, President Trump, and thank you to our service members who performed this operation.”
“To those concerned about U.S. involvement — this isn’t a “forever war” in fact, it’s ending one,” U.S. Sen. Markwayne Mullin said in an X post. “POTUS was clear: Iran must never have a nuclear weapon. The Republican-led @SenateGOP trusts President Trump to keep America safe, free, and prosperous. Peace through strength.”
Said U.S. Sen. James Langford on X, “I continue to be grateful for the skill and professionalism of our United States service members. Cindy and I are praying for our military, the President and for a lasting peace.”
