Zeeco broke ground Thursday on a major expansion of its Global Technology Center Thursday in Broken Arrow.
The 200,000-square-foot expansion will bring Zeeco’s manufacturing workforce at the Global Technology Center to nearly 200 people and will add additional non-manufacturing jobs in Broken Arrow as well, the company said.
The new facility will enhance Zeeco’s ability to meet growing global demand for its combustion, emissions control, and heat transfer technologies.
Zeeco President and CEO Darton Zink said the expansion is a “much-needed upgrade” and will further strengthen Zeeco’s global manufacturing capabilities. The manufacturing facility was first commissioned shortly after the founding of Zeeco in 1979.
“Over our 46-year history, this facility has expanded as our business has grown, but nothing like what we’re doing today,” said Zink in a statement. “We’re bringing in advanced and state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment to modernize the facility and bring it up to the standards we’ve set for our other six in-house manufacturing facilities around the world.”
The new manufacturing space will strengthen Broken Arrow’s position as a hub for innovation and advanced manufacturing, further supporting economic growth across the region.
“Zeeco’s expansion reinforces Broken Arrow’s reputation as a prime location for advanced manufacturing and innovation. Their continued investment in our community not only brings quality jobs but also sets the tone for future growth and collaboration in the region,” said Amber Miller, Vice President of Economic Development at the BAEDC.
Zeeco’s Global Technology Center was the former site of Zeeco World Headquarters before its relocation to Tulsa in 2024. This change allowed Zeeco to reshape the purpose of its operations in Broken Arrow to one with a heavy emphasis on testing, research and development and manufacturing.
The Global Technology Center is also home to the world’s largest combustion research and test facility and Zeeco’s Advanced Research Complex, which serves to develop innovative products and solutions for global customers through industrial-scale pilot plants.
James Bell, President and CEO of BAEDC and the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce, said Zeeco’s continued operations and growth in Broken Arrow, “are a testament to how local governments and private organizations can work together to support their community.”
