The RiverHawk Center for Teaching Excellence (RCTE) has several upcoming opportunities for education majors this month.
To help students navigate the financial side of higher education, we invite you to attend the FAFSA, Financial Aid & Scholarship Webinar on Jan. 16, 2026, from 2 to 3 p.m. Hosted by RCTE via Zoom & Google Meet, this session will guide students through completing or updating their FAFSA and exploring available scholarship opportunities.
RCTE is also pleased to offer the Assessment of Professional Knowledge (APK) Seminar on Jan. 31, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon at the NSU–Broken Arrow Education Building. This in-person seminar provides hands-on guidance from experienced educators and practical strategies for success.
Current APK fields for Oklahoma teacher candidates include Elementary (NT053)andSecondary (NT054). Participants are encouraged to register to reserve a spot. For more information on either event, contact rcte@nsuok.edu.
As the semester unfolds, January reminds us that every new term is a fresh start — a chance to set goals, strengthen connections and move forward with confidence. We are excited about the opportunities ahead and the success our students will achieve in the months to come.
