Sunny skies and crisp air greeted those honoring veterans in the Rose District Saturday during the Broken Arrow Elks Lodge #2673 Veterans Day Parade.
After the procession was over, the Lodge hosted a taco-bar lunch, awards ceremony, Hanoi Jane darts, an auction, 50/50 raffle, and a gun raffle.
The Broken Arrow Creek Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution also purchased an oak tree that was planted by the city of Broken Arrow at Central Park.
The DAR dedicated the tree to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, place a memorial marker there and held a short ceremony.
