The Broken Arrow Economic Development Corp. (BAEDC) is now accepting applications for the 2026 Broken Arrow Summer STEM Camp, a free, hands-on career exploration program designed to introduce high school students to careers in healthcare and manufacturing.
The four-day camp will take place June 15–18, 2026, and is open to rising 10th–12th grade students interested in learning more about STEM-related career pathways. Through site visits, hands-on activities, and direct interaction with industry professionals, students will gain a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to work in some of the region’s most in-demand fields.
The program is completely free, but space is limited to 30 students total. Fifteen students will be selected for the healthcare track and fifteen for the manufacturing/STEM track.
The camp is made possible through the support of community partners and industry leaders. Tulsa Technology Center is serving as the Presenting Sponsor, with Chart Industries, Inc. supporting the program as the Gold Sponsor.
“Programs like the Broken Arrow Summer STEM Camp are critical to building the next generation of talent,” said Amber Miller, Vice President of Economic Development at the BAEDC. “By connecting students directly with employers and real-world work environments, we’re helping them see the incredible opportunities available in healthcare and manufacturing right here in our region.”
Students selected for the camp will participate in industry tours, hands-on learning experiences, and conversations with professionals working in these fields. The program is designed to help students better understand potential career pathways and the education or training needed to pursue them.
“Workforce development starts with exposure,” said De’Andre Fahie, Director of Workforce Development and Talent Attraction at the BAEDC. “This camp allows students to see these careers up close, ask questions, and imagine themselves in these roles one day.”
Interested students are encouraged to apply soon, as spots are limited.
