One person was detained late Friday after shots were apparently fired during a vehicle pursuit, the Broken Arrow Police Department said.
Police said the incident began during a vehicle chase and shots were fired by an officer during the pursuit, although nobody was struck. The pursuit ended on Washington Street just west of Aspen Avenue.
Washington Street was closed in both directions for a period of time between Dogwood Avenue and Beach Avenue while investigators processed the scene.
Tulsa Traffic James reported the driver of the vehicle fleeing police was detained during the preliminary investigation but later released.
“This remains an active investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available,” BAPD said in a statement.
