The city of Broken Arrow will hold a “Community Listening Forum” this week to discuss the city’s needs and how to address them.
The forum is at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church Broken Arrow, 2602 S. Elm Place. City officials said they’re bringing community leaders together to, “learn more about our city’s needs” and how to meet them. All are welcome.
The forum will start with a forum discussion with a panel of community leaders, then the floor will be opened for questions from attendees. Members of the panel include:
- * Debra Wimpee, Mayor of Broken Arrow
- * Lance Arnold, Broken Arrow police chief
- * Jeremy Moore, Broken Arrow fire chief
- * David Sutton, Director, B&A Connections (before- and after-care program through the Broken Arrow Public Schools)
- * Abi Sutherland, Executive Director, BA Neighbors (a community resource center in the heart of the Rose District that provides basic needs emergency food, financial, career, and financial literacy assistance)
- * Valeri Radford, McKinney-Vento Student Support Specialist (the McKinney Vento Homeless Assistance Act allows BAPS to provide educational rights, stability, and support for children and youth experiencing temporary housing instability or homelessness)
- * James Bell, President & CEO of the Broken Arrow Chamber and Broken Arrow EDC
