The Broken Arrow Fire Department doused a blaze in the central part of the city Monday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to a home near Elm Place and Midway Road around 3:30 p.m. and were met heavy smoke coming from the eaves of the structure.
Using thermal imagining technology, crews found the source of the heat in the attic. Firefighters from Engine 1 established fast attack within seconds and got the fire under control.
Other crews performed a search and fortunately, no one was inside at the time of the fire, the department said. The blaze was out in 20 minutes.
Crews from Engine 1, Engine 7, Ladder 6, Squad 1, and Squad 7, along with the battalion chief and EMS officer responded to the scene.
