A man from Broken Arrow was killed Friday afternoon during a crash on the Turner Turnpike in Rogers County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
Gary Dittson, 67, was listed as the deceased person in the crash, which happened shortly after 3 p.m. near Claremore on I-44. Troopers said Dittson was not wearing a seatbelt.
No other details were available on the crash as of Saturday.
Dittson was at least the second person killed this week on the Will Rogers turnpike. On Aug. 18, an Oklahoma Turnpike Authority worker on foot was struck and killed by semi-truck that left the roadway near Miami. A second worker sitting in an OTA vehicle was injured and hospitalized.
