A Broken Arrow man was hospitalized Saturday afternoon after his motorcycle sideswiped another vehicle on Highway 51, the Oklahoma State Police said.
State troopers said Brock Burgett, 36, was traveling west on Highway 51 near Peoria Avenue at a high rate of speed when he tried to negotiate a curve, lost control and struck another westbound vehicle.
The motorcycle then hit a curb and proceeded to travel an another 340 feet before coming to rest.
Burgett, was transported by EMSA to Ascension St. John Hospital in Tulsa and admitted in stable condition with head, leg and trunk external injuries. The occupants of the other vehicle were not injured.
