The Broken Arrow Police Department arrested a man Thursday on a warrant for possession and distribution of child pornography.
Matthew William Stitt, 22, was arrested on a warrant and will be later be booked into the Tulsa County Jail on the charges.
According to Broken Arrow police, an investigator with the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office in Wisconsin discovered and investigated a subject who was sharing a significant amount of child sex abuse material on a social media app.
The Winnebago Sheriff’s investigator, who is a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC), was able to determine the suspect’s online alias and IP address and discovered that the suspect was located in Broken Arrow.
The Winnebago County investigator contacted a Broken Arrow Police detective who is also a member of the ICAC Task Force, and the detective obtained information and compiled evidence against Stitt resulting in the arrest warrant through Tulsa County District Court.

They take great pride in keeping our children safe from online predators and other who would do harm to children,” said BAPD Public Information Officer Christopher Walker.
