The Broken Arrow and Tulsa fire departments worked together Tuesday to rescue the driver of an overturned cement truck in Broken Arrow.
The truck overturned around 10:45 a.m. while working in a construction zone on 193rd East Avenue, just south of East Kenosha Street.
The extrication crew was quickly established by utilizing a combination of firefighters from Tulsa and Broken Arrow. The firefighters used hydraulic and battery-powered extrication tools to free the driver and safely remove him from the wreckage.
The driver was transported to the hospital for a more thorough evaluation and treatment of non-life-threatening injuries
