Memphis Street Animal Rescue in Broken Arrow is asking for help after the flatbed trailer the organization uses for its activities and thrift shop was stolen on Christmas Day.
Volunteers went to take the trash out Thursday and noticed the locked trailer was gone from behind their thrift shop near 81st Street and Elm Place. It had been a few days since the area had been checked so volunteers aren’t sure when the theft occurred.
“People will never cease to amaze. This was most surely NOT on our list of Christms surprises we asked for,” said Natalie Coe on Facebook Thursday. “Guess we are fundraising for a truck and a trailer now.”

This is the second time in 2 years that Memphis Street Animal Rescue has had property stolen.
In fall 2023, an event trailer shared between Memphis Street and KW Realty’s Logistics Home Team, was stolen from behind a shopping center. The trailer stored tables, pop up tents, chairs, giveaway items, misting fans, a generator and games for events, along with several dog crates.
The trailer was later recovered by Broken Arrow police after it had been posted for sale, but had been emptied of contents.
