A 71-acre tract of vacant land in northeast Broken Arrow is one of 68 parcels of land to be auctioned off by the state later this week.
The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority said recently that 790 acres of land in 11 counties will be be up for sale, including the tract at 22500 E. Omaha St. in Broken Arrow.
The counties involved in the sale are Tulsa, Creek, Rogers, Craig, Oklahoma, Wagoner, Murray, Canadian, McClain, Grady and Lincoln.
The auction is slated to run June 9-10 in Oklahoma City.
Some of the property (40 acres) in Broken Arrow being sold appears to have been owned or connected to Tulsa-based Latshaw Drilling and was used as a drilling support rig yard. No further information was available.
The land is on the west side of the Creek Turnpike.
