Broken Arrow police are investigating the deaths of two juveniles on the city’s south side.
Officers responded to a call at about 1:46 p.m. Sunday for a possible murder-suicide in the 4300 block of South Beech Avenue.
On the scene they found two deceased juveniles inside the home — a 17-year-old male and 14-year-old female. The cause of death for the 17-year-old appears to be suicide. Police said they both attended Broken Arrow Public Schools.
“The Broken Arrow Police Department is working with the school district to ensure necessary resources are available in the aftermath of this tragic incident,” said BAPD Public Information Officer Ethan Hutchins.
The Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office is forming an investigation to determine cause of death.
Due to their ages, the BAPD said it will not be releasing the victims’ names.
The Broken Arrow Public Schools released a statement saying the district was aware of the investigation but is waiting to hear the identities of the victims.
