Crime and development once again dominated the Top 10 new stories appearing in the Broken Arrow Sentinel for April.
The top vote getter came at the very end of the month, as the City Council is set to vote Tuesday on a special use permit for a Splash inflatable water park in east Broken Arrow near Northeastern State University.
In a story we’ve been following since last fall, Oklahoma state lawmakers unanimously approved a bill expanding domestic violence protections beyond romantic, marriage or blood-related relationships. The bill was in response to the murder of Stephen Bernius of Broken Arrow last fall by a tenant he was trying to evict.
