WinShape Camps for Communities came to the Tulsa suburbs recently as part of a nationwide program that hosts camp events at schools churches and more.
WinShape Camps offer a week-long local experience designed to unite neighbors while providing students in K-5 a variety of engaging indoor and outdoor activities to develop their unique gifts and interests.
Last week, the camps were held at Battle Creek Church in Jenks, and Battle Creek Church in Broken Arrow.
“What a gift to bring WinShape Camp to the Broken Arrow community,” said Aaron Collier, Manager of Host Development for WinShape Camps for Communities.
“This is our sixth year partnering with Battle Creek Church, and it truly gets better every time. At WinShape, we believe outdoor recreation is one of the best ways to help children gain confidence, make new friends, and grow in their faith.”
As a part of the WinShape Foundation, WinShape Camps’ mission is to glorify God by creating experiences that transform campers and families with the message of Jesus Christ.
The foundation launched its first overnight camp on the campus of Berry College in Rome, Ga., more than 40 years ago. WinShape Camps can now be found in over 75 communities around the country.
