The Broken Arrow City Council has scheduled a special meeting Tuesday to discuss the budget for fiscal year 2023.
The meeting will be held at 3 p.m. at the Broken Arrow Public Safety Complex, 1101 North 6th St.
Joining the city council will be members and staff for the Broken Arrow Municipal Authority and Broken Arrow Economic Development Authority.
The amount of proposed expenditures and expenses for 2023 is $311 million.
The listed agenda includes:
- Presentation, discussion, and possible direction regarding the revenues, expenditures and budgets of the city of Broken Arrow, BAMA and the EDC.
- The proposed fiscal year 2023 budgets and financial Plans for the general fund, BAMA, EDC and other city funds.
The preparation of the proposed Fiscal Year 2023 Budget and Fiscal Year 2024 Financial Plan began in November 2021, and is the product of the input by each department director and their staff, along with coordination of the human resources department, compilation and production by the finance department.
City Manager Michael Spurgeon, will provide an overview of the budget. Department directors will be available for questions and input.
A public hearing regarding the proposed budget is scheduled for the regular City Council meeting of June 6, 2022 with adoption of the budget at the second meeting in June 2022..
Those wishing to speak at Tuesday’s meeting must fill out a “Request to Speak” form. The forms are available from the City Clerk’s table or at the entrance door. Please turn in your form prior to the start of the meeting.
