On July 17, Tulsa police responded to reports of shots fired at 2:55 a.m. around 1 S. Boston Ave. where several young adults were hanging out. Police said there was an altercation between two groups of people and one of the groups fled in a vehicle.
Serenity McAdoo, an Inola native, died Hillcrest Hospital after the car that was fleeing was struck by bullets. Several other bullets struck One Williams Center building at the intersection of 1st Street and Boston Avenue.
At the beginning of August, police said, Dusty Stevens was arrested and charged with use of a vehicle in discharge of a weapon. Detectives determined Stevens was riding in the same car with McAdoo and started shooting.
