Ascension St. John Broken Arrow has earned a five-star overall rating on the Forbes Top Hospitals By State list, which recognizes top-performing hospitals in each state based on objective measure of quality and patient care.
The recognition comes after the hospital was also named to Forbes’ inaugural national Top Hospitals list earlier this year.
Ascension St. John Broken Arrow is one of 14 Oklahoma hospitals recognized in the state-by-state list, which also included Hillcrest Hospital South, Oklahoma Surgical Hospital and Saint Francis Hospital South, all in Tulsa.
The Forbes Top Hospitals By State list is a subset of the publication’s national hospital rankings and is designed to identify the top hospitals in all 50 states and Washington D.C.
Hospitals are evaluated using publicly reported data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), including patient outcomes, best practices, value and patient experience. For patients and families, the list provides an objective resource to help guide decisions about where to seek care.

The hospital is one of several Ascension hospitals recognized on this year’s Forbes rankings. The five-star rating reflects Ascension’s mission to provide compassionate, personalized care and its commitment to serving patients with excellence every day.
