The opening show that was scheduled at Regent Bank Amphitheater this month has been canceled and the opening will be delayed until Dec. 31.
Regent Bank Amphitheater had announced in September it would open in early December with a “Winter Preview” event and full performance season would be pushed back to near.
According to the amphitheater’s website, the first show will be “New Year’s Randy Rogers Band” on Dec. 31 at 8 p.m.
After that, there are no other scheduled shows until March 16, 2027 with “Roger Waters presents LEGACY — a Pink Floyd Tribute Show performed by the Harry Waters Band.”
Venu spokeswoman Chloe Polhamus said supply and vendor timelines shifted unexpectedly and moved final installation past early December. “These changes were outside of our control and made Preview Nights on December 4 and 5 unable to execute logistically, so those shows will not take place. Ticket holders will receive full refunds,” Polhamus said.
“Work is moving full speed ahead, and we’ll open our doors on New Year’s Eve with Randy Rogers. You only get one first night, and we want this one to be unforgettable.”
The performance Roger Waters performance will allow fans to experience the music of Pink Floyd’s golden era brought to life by a 10-piece band led by Harry Waters, with a stage production shaped by Roger Waters himself. The show will include the era-defining imagery and visuals that helped define the band, the amphitheater organizers said.
The $103 million, 12,500-seat facility was scheduled to open last year but design changes and construction delays led to the date being moved. Company officials said earlier the building was to be finished in early to mid-November, followed by getting employees on site and trained.
The first shows will utilize the smaller 5,000-seat setup in the amphitheater rather than using the entire theater.
