The Broken Arrow boys basketball squad earned another trip to the 6A State Tournament Saturday after defeating Choctaw at Sapulpa High School.
Coming off a big victory over Jenks — their third this year — on Friday in the Area tourney, the Tigers took a 30-24 lead into halftime against the Yellowjackets and managed to extend the lead in the second half.
They led 46-34 at the end of the third quarter and Choctaw was unable to make a run in the final frame.
The Tigers’ victory also avenges a 51-38 loss to Choctaw on Dec. 12.
The OSSAA State Tournament is slated for March 6-9.
