Two people are facing chargers after an alert property foils an attempted burglary, the Broken Arrow Police Department said.
Police were dispatched to a property near East 67th Street south after the owner was alerted by her security system to a car backed up to her barn after dark. Police said video footage showed suspects attempting to break in through locked doors and windows.
When police responded they found the two suspects nearby who matched the video description. Inside their car police found burglary tools, a loaded .22 caliber revolver, 63 grams of meth and 1.29 grams of fentanyl.
Tomas Rose was arrested on charges of burglary and felony firearm possession. Katelynn Gehri was charged with burglary and drug trafficking.
“A big thank you to the neighbor and property owner for acting quickly and helping officers track down the suspects,” BAPD said in a statement. “We remain committed to doing everything we can to make sure individuals like this are held accountable and can no longer bring dangerous drugs or criminal behavior into our community.”
