Broken Arrow Seniors has hired a new executive director, Annie Bast, and her first day will be on Oct. 20.
Broken Arrow Seniors says there will be a welcome reception for Bast from 1-3 p.m. on Oct. 21, with more details coming soon. Bast replaces director Kim Crenshaw, who served in the post for 3 years before leaving in August.
A Tulsa native, Bast graduated from Bishop Kelley High School completed her B.S. in business administration at Southern Nazarene University. At an early age she volunteered at a hospital, setting working with clients of age which developed her love and passion for helping others.
Broken Arrow Seniors said Bast has more 25 years of experience in finance and banking, the insurance industry, event planning and building strong relationships with community partners. She also spent over 2 decades dedicating her time to several local non-profits to serve others in need.
She most recently worked for Domestic Violence Intervention Services as the education outreach coordinator, working in the school systems with at risk youth, incarcerated youth and adults — building relationships within the community to bring awareness and prevention to those affected by domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking.
When Annie is not working she enjoys traveling with her husband and two girls, loves spending time with extended family and friends.
