Authorities in Wagoner County serving a search warrant on a subject’s home recently recovered a large amount of drugs, weapons and money.
Wagoner County investigators and the District 27 Drug and Violent Crime Task Wagoner County Sheriff’s deputies, and the Wagoner Police Department responded to the 1600 Block of Stevens Place in Wagoner, to execute the warrant.
Upon arrival deputies made contact with the suspect, identified as James Duane Redman of Wagoner. As deputies were conducting the search they discovered a camo backpack containing 120 grams of a crystal-like substance.
Additionally, multiple empty Ziplock baggies, a scale, and a black semi-automatic pistol were located inside the backpack with the crystal-like substance. Deputies located a large barrel that contained seven pounds of a green leafy substance and multiple pills during the search warrant.
Deputies seized currency that was being used for narcotic sales and the multiple firearms that were located at the residence.
Redman was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Wagoner County Detention Center and booked. He was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, distribution of CDS, trafficking CDS, child endangerment and possession of drug proceeds. He was transferred from the Wagoner County Detention Center to the Muscogee Creek Nation Police due to tribal status to await his charges.
The Hulbert Police Department assisted in the investigation.
