Broken Arrow police are investigating a two-vehicle accident Saturday in the 7700 block of S. Elm Place that killed a motorcycle rider.
Police say they were notified at 9:13 a.m. about the collision, which involved a motorcyle and sedan.
Broken Arrow Fire Department medics arrived on scene, checked on the the motorcyclist and was found to be deceased. The vehicle’s driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed the motorcycle was traveling north on Elm Place and the car was headed south on Elm Place and attempting to turn left onto 128th Street South.
Police say the motorcycle rider — whose name was not released due to pending notification of family — was wearing a helmet. The department’s traffic unit officers are investigating to determine if speed on the part of the motorcycle rider was a factor in the collision.
Elm Place was closed as of noon but police expected to open the road up before long once the investigation is complete.
