A man has been arrested for first-degree murder of a young girl after a joint investigation by the Broken Arrow Police Department and FBI.
Broken Arrow Police arrested 20-year-old Thomas E. Ivy for first-degree murder – death of a child by injuring/torturing/maiming, and domestic assault and battery.
The alleged child abuse of a juvenile female occurred in the 4500 block of South Elm Place. The BAPD Criminal Investigation Division responded to a local medical facility last Friday regarding the allegations and the female succumbed to her injuries on Sunday.
Authorities said Ivy has been in a dating relationship with the victim’s mother.
Due to the age of the victim, BAPD said it will not be releasing the name of the juvenile.
The FBI collaboration was due to a tribal component of this investigation.
Police said they have no more information to provide at this time.
