Man shot in south Tulsa during apparent car burglary dies

The Tulsa Police Department is investigating a shooting death that occurred early Wednesday in south Tulsa.

Police responded to the area of 9200 E 90th Street around 2:15 a.m. for a reported shooting and found a black sedan that had driven up on the curb and came to a stop. 

Officers found a male with a gunshot wound to the chest and an unknown female doing chest compressions on him. 

EMSA transported the subject to the hospital in critical condition, where he later died. According to a police, a man said he came outside to confront a man who was breaking into his vehicle and the man was later shot. 

All witnesses and people involved in the incident were taken to the TPD Detective Division for questioning. The incident is still under investigation.
