A man who the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says was driving 135 mph on the Creek Turnpike Friday crashed and was injured.
The 58-year-old driver from Sapulpa was headed eastbound at mile marker 9 on the turnpike at about 7 p.m. when he lost control of the car and wrecked. The driver was trapped and sustained major injuries to his leg, OHP said.
OHP said the man admitted to consuming a large amount of marijuana prior to driving, and a DUI investigation is pending. There were no other passengers in the car.
The driver — whose name isn’t being released yet — was admitted at St. Francis Hospital and admitted.
