The Tulsa Police Department announced it had arrested a suspect in the sexual assault of a woman in Hunter Park last month.
TPD’s Special Victim’s Unit arrested Brent Allen Reamy, 42, in connection with the Aug. 21 incident at the park in south Tulsa.
The Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office charged Reamy with one count of rape by instrumentation and booked into the Tulsa County Jail by the police department’s Fugitive Warrants Unit.
Police said they had interacted with Reamy shortly after the Aug. 21 assault — where he was asking questions about the department’s response and displaying “unusual” behavior — but there wasn’t enough of a description to identify him as a suspect.
At approximately 6:15 p.m that day, Tulsa police responded to a report of an assault at the park located near 5800 E. 91st St.
According to the victim, a white male in his 40s or 50s approached her while she was walking in a wooded area of the park. The suspect physically attacked the victim and assaulted her sexually. In the course of the attack, the victim sustained injuries.
Police said that without any evidence linking Reamy to criminal activity the officer documented the interaction, which proved vital later in the investigation.
Detectives collected evidence from multiple sources that placed Reamy inside Hunter Park at the time of the assault, and the victim further identified Reamy as the suspect in a photo lineup.
An alleged sexual assault that occurred at Turkey Mountain on Aug. 19th is still under investigation and SVU detectives are exploring any possible connection between the two assaults.
Anyone with information related to the Turkey Mountain is asked to call Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS. You can remain anonymous when calling. Please reference case 2025-042322.
