The Regent Bank Amphitheater, Venu Holding Corp.’s next-generation live entertainment venue coming to Broken Arrow, today announced an extension of the Regent Bank Amphitheater Mural Competition submission deadline through Sept. 7.
The statewide competition is driven by the VENU Arts and Culture Foundation (VACF), a 501(c)(3) supporting arts and culture in the communities VENU serves, in partnership with ARTSOK, a nonprofit dedicated to making arts accessible, inclusive, and engaging across the Tulsa metropolitan area.
The competition invites Oklahoma artists to submit original artwork for large-scale installation at Regent Bank Amphitheater, where selected designs will be reproduced as large-format wall graphics and seen by thousands of concertgoers each season.
Artists do not need any mural painting experience to enter; winning designs are produced and applied using a large-scale print installation process, not hand-painted on site.
“This is what the Foundation was built for, connecting art and community in a way that leaves a lasting mark,” said Chloe Polhamus, Board President of the VENU Arts and Culture Foundation. “This competition is about giving Oklahoma artists a real platform, and we are excited to see the depth of talent this extension brings in. We are looking forward to seeing everyone’s submissions.”
“We’ve heard from artists who are interested in this opportunity and wanted a little more time to finish their submissions,” said Chad Stark, ARTSOK. “Extending the deadline gives them that opportunity. What we love most about the way the competition is structured is you do not have to be a muralist to win this. The installation process opens this up to any artist with a strong idea, painter or not.”
The competition remains open to painters, illustrators, photographers, digital artists, graphic artists, mixed-media creators, graffiti artists, and beyond.
Artists from across Oklahoma are eligible, and no prior mural or installation experience is required.
Cash prizes will be awarded across three winners. Winners will now be notified in the weeks following the new deadline, with installation still planned for fall 2026 in coordination with the venue’s opening.
Entries will be judged on originality, artistic quality, connection to the competition’s theme, visual impact, and suitability for large-scale reproduction. Full eligibility requirements, submission guidelines, and entry forms are available at arts302.com
