A 10-year-old boy was injured Saturday morning by his coach’s vehicle as the team was preparing to leave on a football trip.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the incident happened at 8:55 a.m. in the Dream Center parking lot in Tulsa.
Coaches were picking up kids and coordinating other kids to ride in vehicles as the team was preparing to caravan to Cleveland, Okla. to play football.
The coach, a 61-year-old man from Tulsa, was parked (not in a space) and began to pull forward and to the right when he ran over a player sitting on the pavement getting his gear together.
OHP said the boy was injured but no other information was available Saturday.
