As work continues on improvements to County Line Road and Highway 51, traffic pattern changes are coming.
As part of the project to widen County Line, a new bridge over Highway 51 is also being constructed.
The contractor is prepared to start setting the bridge beams and will need to shift highway traffic to safely work on the north side of the bridge, the city said. Here is what to expect during phase 1 beginning Jan. 4th:
- Highway traffic will shift to south side of SH-51
- One lane for each direction
- One lane for westbound on ramp traffic
- Shift in place through January (pending weather and installation)
- Traffic backups eastbound on SH-51 during your evening commute.
Traffic shift information for the second phase will be released near the completion of the first phase
This project is expected to be completed in May.
