We have reached the end of the fall semester here at Northeastern State University. It’s a time of great anticipation, whether it be for final grades, graduation or the start of the new year. The holiday season is also in full swing and filling many of our days with decorating, shopping, and spending quality time with friends and family.
In the busy-ness of the coming weeks, try to take a moment to recognize how far you’ve come this year and celebrate those successes. I am particularly looking forward to celebrating NSU’s next class of graduates at our commencement ceremonies this month.
NSU is grateful for each and every employee who has contributed to the success of our students at any point on their journey to graduation. Whether that be through maintaining facilities, academic advising or offering other support, your hard work has not gone unnoticed. That said, all NSU campuses will be closed Dec. 22- Jan. 2 for winter break.
This time allows for NSU faculty and staff to enjoy a well-deserved break and celebrate the holiday with their loved ones.
During this season of giving to others, it’s also important to think about your goals and dreams for the new year and how you might accomplish them. The new year is a chance to make a new investment in yourself and your education. It might seem daunting at first to think about investing your time and finances into your education. However, once you’ve made the commitment, you’ll find the overall impact for your future is far greater than you might have thought.
The gift of a college education extends beyond the individual. It has a ripple effect, influencing and building up families and communities. There has never been a better time to get started on your college degree or increase your earning potential with a master’s degree or certificate. NSU offers classes here on the Broken Arrow campus and online to fit your needs.
Spring 2024 courses are open for enrollment in a variety of subjects including accounting, computer science and more. If you have plans to apply for a health science graduate program in the future, get your science prerequisites done close to home at NSU-Broken Arrow.
Or, if you’re already working in a field that you love, but are interested in leveling up your career with a graduate degree, certificate or micro-credentials, NSU has options for you, too. No matter your goals, we’re here to help.
Spring classes kick off on Jan. 16, 2024. Visit Go2NSU.com today to learn more about degrees and programs that may be right for you.
As we exchange gifts and enjoy the holiday spirit, let’s remember that the gift of a college education is not just for a season, it’s a perennial source of illumination. It’s a present that transcends time, enriching lives and shaping the future.
