Broken Arrow police said a man is back in jail after walking into an AT&T store carrying a rifle and wearing a tactical vest.
Police responded to the business near 1200 E. Hillside Dr. after receiving calls that the man, identified as 26-year-old Zachary James Morrissey, was seen walking through the parking lot. Morrissey reportedly walked by two stores before entering AT&T. He stated he was attempting to purchase something from the store.
Prior to this incident, the man tried walking into the Broken Arrow courthouse carrying the rifle, but city employees locked the doors. He told officers he was trying to obtain property he had left behind after getting out of jail this past weekend.
Officers responded at that point and released him. A family member then reportedly dropped him off near Lynn Lane Road and Hillside Drive before he entered AT&T.
Employees at AT&T were able to run out the back of the store and nobody was injured. Morrissey was arrested on a previous warrant and for carrying a concealed weapon.
