A man who was leading Bixby police on a high-speed chase died early Thursday morning when he wrecked his vehicle in Broken Arrow.
Bixby Police Department PIO Levi Ethridge said an officer attempted to pull over the driver, Maston Brown, near 111th Street and Memorial Drive at about 2 a.m. when Brown fled east.
Speeds ranged from 80-90 mph as Bixby police followed Brown into Broken Arrow, where he lost control and crashed his vehicle near the intersection of Florence Street (111th Street) and Lynn Lane Road.
Police said Brown’s car went into a ravine and was found overturned in a creek. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Tulsa County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The Broken Arrow Police Department is still investigating the incident and did not release further details.
