A Broken Arrow man is facing multiple charges stemming from a domestic violence incident Sunday.
Joshua Lloyd, 38, was arrested after barricading himself in a home for several hours. Officers entered the home and took Lloyd into custody just before 6 p.m.
Lloyd faces charges of domestic assault with a dangerous weapon, threatening an act of violence and obstruction.
Police responded to a home in the 400 block of West Quanah Place — near 121st Street and Elm Place — at 11:07 a.m. on Sunday in reference to the alleged domestic assault. A family member claimed they were threatened with a weapon at their shared home.
The victim escaped and contacted officers at a separate location. Officers responded to the residence and briefly had contact with Lloyd, who was in possession of a weapon, before he went back into the home.
Officers began giving commands to him starting at 11:52 a.m. over a loudspeaker, and attempted multiple times over several hours to contact him by phone.
